The Comeaux Band Program has two directors, Chris Smith and Scott Geiger. However there is a complete staff of individuals who assist in the music education of the "Spectacular Band from Spartan Land." From marching techs to small ensemble coaches, these individuals help provide needed instruction to the Comeaux Band students. The directors are thankful for all of their input and instruction. These individuals are listed to the right.

year as Director of Bands at Comeaux High School. At Comeaux
he is responsible for administering the total band program:
Wind Symphony, Symphonic Band, Concert Band,
and small ensembles. He conducts the Wind
and co-directs the Spectacular Band from Spartan
Land. Prior to coming to Comeaux High School, Smith was
Director of Bands at
Holy Cross School in New Orleans, LA.
Mr. Smith has conducted various parish and district honor bands, as well as, having adjudicated at concert and marching festivals in Louisiana. His ensembles have consistently earned superior ratings in concert, marching performances, at the local, state and national levels. Smith is a graduate of Louisiana State University where he studied under Frank Wickes. Smith has participated in conducting workshops with: H. Robert Reynolds, John Whitwell, James Ogle, Jerry Junkin, and Frank Wickes.
He is a past member of the L.M.E.A. State Board as Band Division Chairman and as a District Director. He is the founding president of the District VI Band Director’s Association where he was selected as Band Director of the Year in 2004. Smith is a member of the Louisiana Music Educator’s Association, the National Band Association, the College Band Director’s National Association. He is a member of Phi Beta Mu National Band Director’s Fraternity and is also a life member of the Kappa Kappa Psi National Honorary Band Fraternity.
Scott Geiger was born in Lansing, MI, Scott attended Lansing Everett High School. Upon graduation he attended Michigan State University in East Lansing, MI, from which he received his bachelors degree in Music Education. While at MSU Scott was a squad leader with the marching band, a section leader with the symphonic band, and member of both the Wind Symphony and Symphony Orchestra, as well as a soloist with the Percussion Ensemble. Outside of school, Scott performed in the drum and bugle corps activity for seven years, his last three with the Bluecoats from Canton, OH.
Besides teaching numerous percussion groups during his college
career, Scott's first full time teaching position was in Rawlins, WY
as the Rawlins High School and Rawlins Middle School Band Director.
In 2000 he moved down to New
Orleans, LA where he worked as the Associate Director of Bands at
the Holy Cross School New Orleans. At
the beginning of the 2004-05 school year Scott was employed as the
Pepperell Middle School Band Director in Lindale, GA where he also
assisted with the high school marching band.
In 2007 Scott found himself
back in Louisiana working at Comeaux High School as the Associate
Director of Bands.

Morrice Boutan is in his first year as Guard Instructor at Comeaux High School. Morrice’s first experience in color guard was as a student at Slidell High School where he participated in the Winter Guard program from 2013 - 2015. He was also a member of the Louisiana Stars Drum and Bugle Corps in their inaugural year 2014 and a member of the 2015 Spirit of Atlanta Drum and Bugle Corps. He was also a member of the 2016 Lake Area Independent Winter Guard which competed on the national level. Currently Morrice is pursuing a degree in music education at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. In his first year at ULL Morrice has choreographed, designed, and/or teched at: Slidell High School, Crowley High School, Westlake High School, Arnett Middle School, Lake Arthur High School and Mandeville High School.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -Victoria Domingue is in her second year with Rhythm in Bleu at Ovey Comeaux High School.. She has ten years of experience as a choreographer, performer and dance educator.
